hanukkah present

hess gave me a candle making kit for hanukkah, and while i am saving most of the supplies to do with robin and g., i wanted to share what a cool gist this is....and a perfect family activity for the 5-9 year olds

ight one candle for the maccabee children
With thanks that their light didnt die
Light one candle for the pain they endured
When their right to exist was denied
Light one candle for the terrible sacrifice
Justice and freedom demand
But light one candle for the wisdom to know
When the peacemakers time is at hand

Light one candle for the strength that we need
To never become our own foe
And light one candle for those who are suffering
Pain we learned so long ago
Light one candle for all we believe in
That anger not tear us apart
And light one candle to find us together
With peace as the song in our hearts

What is the memory thats valued so highly
That we keep it alive in that flame?
Whats the commitment to those who have died
That we cry out theyve not died in vain?
We have come this far always believing
That justice would somehow prevail
This is the burden, this is the promise
This is why we will not fail!

Song of the day: light one candle- peter, paul and mary

Dont let the light go out!
Its lasted for so many years!
Dont let the light go out!
Let it shine through our love and our tears.

MOLLY!,

That looks so wicked cool. (Don't know the appropriateness of that comment, but you know...) It looks like a fun family activity.

Blessings,

Michael

Molly,

Don't feel jealous. My internet connection in the middle of the ocean is horrible. Most of the time your site and Jeff's site don't come up. Somehow I have been lucky enough to get a "somewhat" decent connection over the past couple of days.

I really have missed talking to you both.

My sites are ever changing, but I think I am stuck at my current spaces. So much in my life and in my heart has changed for the better. I've needed these fires and I've needed this water to bring purity and clarity to my heart.

Blessings,

Michael

smile, well, ok, i won't be jealous

wonderful post on your site about forgiveness...i almost commented, but i was unsure about saying anything...your spaces feel more sacred now, and unsure about your wants for it

hope that signal stays strong (and that you dont get seasick)

Molly,

You are always welcome to comment on my spaces. No matter how sacred they may appear. To be honest the spaces are the results of struggle, frustration, anger, and overcoming the self.

I hope the signal stays strong as well. We are almost home, and I would like to keep in touch as I can.

Blessings,
-Michael

P.S. I have been seasick four times. I hate the ocean soooo much. :-) :-p
